Q-Kids Readers

The WQLN PBS Q-Kids Readers program is designed to increase independent reading among children in kindergarten through fifth grade and foster parental involvement in children’s reading.

Join WQLN Q-Kids Readers!
We invite you and your child to participate in our Q-Kids Readers monthly reading challenge! This exciting initiative encourages children to develop a love for reading by tracking the time they spend reading each month or the time you spend reading to them. It's a fun and rewarding way to boost literacy skills and foster a lifelong passion for books.

Celebrate Your Child’s Reading Achievements
Each month, we recognize and celebrate our young readers by airing their names on the WQLN PBS KIDS 24/7 channel (54.4). This special acknowledgment not only motivates children but also highlights their achievements in the community. Teachers are also encouraged to get involved, making it a perfect classroom activity to promote reading in an engaging and supportive environment.

Download the Q-Kids Readers Book Log
To participate, simply click on BOOK LOG and download your form today. You can also request the form or obtain more information by calling (814) 217-6015. Once you've recorded the reading times for the month, submit your completed book log to jallen@wqln.org by the 25th of the month.

Join us in making reading a joyful and shared experience. Together, we can inspire a new generation of readers through WQLN’s Q-Kids Readers!
