Online Director's Credential Program

WQLN Education's 135-hour Pennsylvania Director Core Certificate Program is designed for childcare center directors and others interested in becoming a center director.  The program runs from January 10, 2010 through August 7, 2010.  The program awards a certificate from the Pennsylvania Key, Office of Child Development.  There will be 3 mandatory face-to-face classes at the WQLN Fatica Learning Center in Erie, Pa.


Registration fee for Child Care Providers (DPW) is $150 (includes all textbooks and materials)


Registration fee for Teachers (Act 48) is $500 (includes all textbooks and materials)


SCHEDULE:

DC Part One - Curriculum and Content
January 10 to March 20

DC Part Two - Current Trends in Early Childhood Education
March 21 to May 29
DC Part Three - Organizational Leadership and Program Administration
May 30 to August 7

 

Pre-requisite education and experience required.  Seton Hill University is offering 9 graduate or undergraduate credits at an additional cost of $170 per credit. CDA Child Development Associate Program

WQLN Education's 120-hour CDA-Child Development Associate program will begin on January 6, 2010.  This 24-week course will occur each Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm at the WQLN Fatica Learning Center in Erie, Pa. This program is designed to prepare child care providers to satisfy the requirements of the CDA Credential. The Program awards a certificate from the Pennsylvania Key, Office of Child Development.
