WQLN is an approved agency under the state funded Education Improvement Tax Credit Program. This Program awards tax credits to businesses that make contributions to support a special initiative: the F.A.M.I.L.I.E.S. Turn on to Literacy program.
WQLN F.A.M.I.L.I.E.S. extends the mission of all WQLN programs to enhance the quality of life by supporting literacy, learning and social and emotional development through a series of workshops conducted in childcare centers, schools and community centers.
Local businesses, including ERIE Insurance, PNC Bank, Waste Management, First National Bank, Northwest Savings Bank, Spectrum Control, CA Curtze Company, and ERIEZ Manufacturing, collectively donated more than $50,000 to support this initiative.
